An old cot mattress
I decided to tidy up my attic yesterday. It was hard work because we had been putting all unnecessary things there for years. But soon we will be redecorating the house so it is a good idea to get rid of the mess. I found some really interesting stuff in the attic. I first came across some old photographs. I had not seen them for such a long time! I spent some time looking at the black and white photos of me and my sister when we were little kids. I also found some baby clothing, a wooden crib and an old cot mattress. I decided to throw away the clothes and the crib because they were destroyed and really useless, but the cot mattress could still be used for something. It would not be appropriate for a child of course, but I guess that if we decide to adopt a cat or a dog one day, this mattress will make a perfect bed. I also found my notes from university. It is hard to believe that just one person can use so much paper during five years" studies! I did not throw away the notes, but they are in a complete mess. I have no idea if I, or anybody else, would be able to make something of them. I guess having them recycled is a much better idea. It took me more than three hours to tidy up the attic yesterday. Finally, I took the old cot mattress, the waste paper and the photo album and went downstairs.
